McKenzie Friend Support for Everyone in the Family Court

I’m Gergely Fried, founder of Everyman Justice.
I started this service to help ordinary people feel confident and supported in the Family Court system — without the overwhelming cost of a solicitor. Everyman Justice is now recognised by many parents as a trusted McKenzie Friend service supporting families across England & Wales.

As a McKenzie Friend, I offer practical guidance, emotional support, and help with court paperwork so you can present your case clearly and calmly.

I work mainly in Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, but I can assist parents anywhere in England & Wales through remote calls and online meetings.

What I Do

  • Explain the court process in plain English
  • Help prepare statements and evidence bundles
  • Support you during Cafcass interviews and hearings
  • Provide emotional preparation so you can stay calm and focused

Why “Everyman Justice”

The name comes from the belief that justice should be for everyone — not just for those who can afford representation.

My Approach

Clear, calm, and compassionate.
I listen first, then help you find realistic solutions that protect your relationship with your children and keep proceedings respectful.

Writing & Commentary

Alongside client work, I also write about family court process, access to justice, and the behavioural dynamics of child arrangements proceedings.

My book, Conflict by Design, examines how the structure of family court cases in England & Wales can shape perception, escalate tension, and influence parental behaviour — even when both parents believe they are acting in their child’s best interests.

The book explores process, psychology, and the practical realities facing litigants in person.
