What We Do
Everyman Justice provides McKenzie Friend support for self-represented clients in Family Court and related matters across England & Wales. We are not a firm of solicitors or barristers.
Data We Collect
- Identity & Contact: name, address, email, phone.
 - Case Data (may include special-category data): details/documents relevant to your matter (e.g., welfare, health, allegations), only where necessary.
 - Communications: emails, meeting notes, call notes.
 - Payments: transaction records (we do not store card numbers).
 - Technical: IP address, device/browser data, cookies/analytics.
 
How We Get It
You provide data via forms, email, calls, meetings and file-sharing. We may receive referrals with your consent. Limited technical data is collected via cookies/analytics.

 - Legitimate interests (running and protecting our service)
 - Legal obligation (HMRC records, safeguarding, court orders)

Sharing
We treat your information as confidential. We share data only when necessary: courts/Cafcass; counsel/mediators/other professionals with your consent; secure processors (email, cloud storage, payment platforms); authorities where required by law (e.g., safeguarding/court orders). We don’t sell data. International transfers (if any) occur only with appropriate safeguards.
Storage & Retention
Electronic records are stored on encrypted devices and reputable UK/EU cloud services. Typical retention: case files for 2 years after your matter ends; finance records for 7 years (HMRC). We may retain select data longer where required by law or to defend legal claims.
Your Rights
